… But little by little,
as you left their voice behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do —
determined to save
the only life that you could save.
“The Journey” – a poem by Mary Oliver
From the outside, no one would guess…
… after all, everything “looks” fine.
You’re almost embarrassed to admit it, but there it is, a slight but persistent annoyance of something that is not quite right. You can’t put your finger on it exactly, but it makes those often-heard words of “happiness,” “joy,” even “satisfaction” elude your daily experiences.
It makes you feel detached from your life, like you are just going through the motions, and those motions can feel heavy – burdensome really.
Is this confusion, uncertainty, and discontent something everyone feels?
Is this just normal, something you just need to accept?
Maybe when the kids are older, when my workload lessens…
But life is passing you by…
Explore what’s keeping you from, well, you…
What would it be like to address this now? How would you like to come in personal alignment with who you really are?
You are not broken, irreparable. And I don’t see you that way.
We all do the best we can from what we learned and was modeled to us. Every time we meet, we’ll look at these parts of yourself that are calling to be examined.
I’ll encourage you to bring them out into the light, understand them, and ultimately accept them. There is no timeline for this work; it’s a process and it’s YOUR process.
The road to authenticity starts now.
Let’s start that journey – the road to you. The one you had to leave behind at some point, for some reason. The authentic you is there, ready to shine… ready to be revealed and be savored.
Imagine investing in yourself to understand the past, the pain, and, yes, even that elusive joy… the ups and the downs… the relationships that either serve or hinder you.
With gentle guidance, I can help you unpack it all so you can discover what’s keeping you from living the authentic life you want… the one you catch glimpses of from time to time.
